Events

At the Goering Center, we offer a variety of educational events and programs to help you connect, learn and grow alongside other family and private business leaders. Our single-day events, multi-day workshops, and Family and Private Business Awards let you hear from subject matter experts, collaborate with, and learn from family and private businesses facing the same challenges you do.

Core Member Breakfasts

The Goering Center offers five complimentary breakfasts to Core Members. These exclusive, members-only breakfasts ensure members receive unbiased information that’s relevant to their businesses. Breakfasts are geared towards family and private business topics and many times a panel of business leaders share their experiences. Topics include innovation in the workplace, growth strategies, health care reform, fraud prevention, and more.

Luncheon Series

Cincinnati area business leaders come together for an informative program covering the topics trending in the business world. You’ll hear from local CEOs, expert advisors and featured speakers, as they share their insights and perspectives on growing successful enterprises and enduring family and private businesses.

The Luncheon series is open to all members and the public.

Roundtables

The best learning opportunities at the Goering Center occur when members learn from their peers. Our Executive Roundtables provide this forum. Eight to ten members meet in an atmosphere of confidentiality, trust and openness to share in each other’s business, family and personal experiences.

Trained moderators guide discussions and the group functions as trusted advisors who spark ideas and guide better decisions.

If you are interested in joining a Roundtable contact Steve Hater at 513-556-7896 or steven.hater@uc.edu.

Educational Forums

These half day educational forums take a deeper dive in to the unique challenges that family and private businesses encounter. Subject matter experts address key issues including strategic planning, family councils, effective family communication, estate planning and wealth transfer.

You’ll walk away from these interactive workshops with actionable steps to move your business and family forward.

Symposiums

The Goering Center brings national and regional experts to the stage, providing insights on leadership, economics and business strategies. Participants are challenged to apply critical thinking and see their business through a new lens. The annual economic symposium has featured world renowned economist Dr. Alan Beaulieu and internationally-known speaker Neil Rackham.

Family and Private Business Awards

The Goering Center Family and Private Business Awards is a region-wide event designed to showcase the unique successes of Greater Cincinnati’s family and private businesses that have contributed to our economy and community growth, and that reflect best business practices.

Aileron events

The Goering Center is happy to partner with Aileron to host a variety of workshops and programs each year. Aileron is a non-profit organization located with the goal of helping private-business owners find greater success. These programs are facilitated by Aileron advisors, who are former business owners and leaders who have experienced similar challenges as attendees.
