It is an exciting time to study and practice economics at Lindner. Our macroeconomics and microeconomics programs have been ranked among the nation’s Top 10 public programs by Bloomberg Businessweek. The expertise of our world-renowned faculty is unmatched, and students from all over the world diversify and invigorate our learning community.

Outside the classroom, members of the economics faculty are committed to research that impacts both their field and everyday business. Faculty members are presenters at national and global conferences, and have been recognized with national awards, fellowships and grants. 

The Kautz-Uible Economics Institute is a critical component of the economics department, providing creative opportunities for enhanced learning and growth to students, faculty and alumni. Established in 1982 as the Hewett-Kautz Fund, the Institute continues to be transformational in its impact.
