Scholarships

The UC Real Estate Center and Program offers a variety of scholarships for deserving students in the program. The Real Estate Center annually awards scholarships to excellent students who demonstrate interest in pursuing careers in real estate. These awards are given at the discretion of the selection committee.

All scholarships are awarded in the Spring semester for application to the following academic year. Information regarding scholarships and the application process will be distributed to students annually. Scholarship applicants will be required to submit a completed application as well as a current resume.

BEARE Fellow Scholarships

Representatives from the BEARE Board have generously agreed to contribute funds toward the education of high-achieving real estate majors. The recipients of this $4,000 scholarship are known as BEARE Fellows. These awards are given at the discretion of the selection committee.

Eligibility

  • Academic Excellence: Applicant must have an excellent academic record.
  • Membership in the University of Cincinnati Real Estate Association (UCREA)
    • Active participation in UCREA events, meetings, and initiatives
  • Participation in UC Real Estate Center Roundtable Programs
  • Involvement in UC Real Estate Center Programs

Neyer Properties Scholarship Fund

Each year, four students are awarded the Neyer Properties Scholarship for Real Estate Students. These scholarships total $2,500 each and are provided through the generosity of Dan Neyer, President & CEO of Neyer Properties. The scholarship began in 2017 and since its inception, the scholarship has supported 16 deserving real estate students. 

James B. Selonick Scholarship

This scholarship has been supporting real estate students since its establishment in January of 1988. This scholarship was created by JMB/Federated Realty Associates and various donors in honor of James.

Carl E. Segal Scholarship

The Carl E. Segal scholarship was established in 2000. 

UC-ICSC Foundation Scholarship

The Real Estate Center's relationship with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has become an important strategic partnership for both institutions. In 2014, the ICSC designated the Center as one of its top partner institutions, recognizing our real estate program as one of the country's best. A special thanks to Jeffery R. Anderson, CEO and President of Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate, for his contribution to the UC-ICSC Foundation Scholarship.

  • Applicant must be a major in real estate
  • Applicant must have a strong academic record
  • Active member of the University of Cincinnati Real Estate Association (UCREA)
  • Participant in UC Roundtable Program and other UC Real Estate Center programs

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Chapter of NAIOP - University of Cincinnati Scholarship

NAIOP's University Initiative was created to provide students enrolled in the University of Cincinnati Real Estate program unique opportunities to engage with commercial real estate professionals in the Cincinnati region.  An integral piece of the Initiative is the NAIOP-University of Cincinnati Scholarship Program which provides tuition assistance to qualifying students enrolled in the commercial real estate program.

The scholarship recipient will receive $2,000 to use towards tuition and related expenses. Recipient will also receive a one-year NAIOP Developing Leader Membership and complimentary meeting attendance to all Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky NAIOP events for one year.

External Undergraduate Scholarships

Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Scholarship

The CREW Network Foundation Scholarship Program supports future female leaders as they pursue university-level education that will lead to careers in the various fields of commercial real estate.

The University of Cincinnati's outstanding female students have benefited from 9 CREW Network scholarships, the most of any of University nationally. For more information, visit the CREW Network site.

International Council of Shopping Centers Scholarships

ICSC offers more than 100 academic and professional education scholarships and fellowships. For more information on available scholarships and to apply, visit the ICSC website.

Ohio REALTORS Charitable & Educational Foundation Scholarship

The Ohio REALTORS® Charitable & Educational Foundation was established by the board of the Ohio Association of REALTORS® in 1980. The foundation awards scholarships to outstanding students actively pursuing four-year or advanced degrees in real estate and related fields at Ohio’s colleges and universities. 

Completed applications must be sent to a professor or academic advisor to be submitted.

The amount awarded varies based on student applications.

SIOR Scholarship

The Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® Ohio Chapter annually awards scholarships to excellent students who demonstrate interest in pursuing careers in commercial real estate. For more information, visit the SIOR Foundation site.

This scholarship is offered multiple times throughout the academic year. Awards vary based on student applications. 

NAIOP Diversity Student Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to those students who are traditionally under-represented in the commercial real estate field.

  • Four $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to qualified graduate student applicants.
  • Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to qualified undergraduate student applicants.
