Lindner Summer Institute

Lindner Summer Institute (LSI) is an overnight program that introduces students to various business disciplines while also providing guidance and support for the college admissions processes. LSI is hosted by Lindner's undergraduate admissions and inclusive excellence teams.

Students are housed in UC residence halls and experience life on a college campus via classroom sessions, interactions with Lindner faculty and staff, plus visits to UC's recreation center and its dining halls.

LSI 2025's application window opens March 14, 2025 and closes April 18, 2025. Students will be notified on May 1 and will have until May 15 to confirm. 

LSI 2025 will be held from June 8-11, 2025.

Eligibility & Application Information

Students who are entering 11th or 12th grade are eligible to apply to participate. The application window runs from March 14, 2025 through April 18, 2025. 

  • Program acceptance notifications: May 1
  • Program confirmation and $200 non-refundable fee due May 15. Scholarships are available! Please reach out to Lindner's undergraduate admissions team for scholarship information.

The following forms must be completed for LSI admittance:

Students need to carry luggage without assistance for approximately 200 yards. Don’t overpack! 
 
  • Identification — school ID, driver's license, state ID, etc.
  • Comfortable clothing
  • A pillow, blanket and sheets (beds are twin XL) or sleeping bag
  • Towel and washcloth
  • Flip flops (shower shoes) 
  • Comfortable walking shoes — we will be walking all over campus!
  • Pajamas
  • Umbrella or raincoat
  • Sweater or sweatshirt (in case student gets cold)
  • Cell phone and charger
  • Toiletries — soap, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair products, deodarant, contact solution, etc.
  • Optional: debit and/or credit card that can be used for bookstore purchases, Starbucks, etc. — campus is cashless.

Prohibited Items: 

  • TV’s 
  • Video consoles/Gaming Systems 
  • Extension cords
