Startup Weekend

UC's Startup Weekend 2024 is like never before.

Our 3-day event will feature:

• $5,000 cash prizes for our winners
• TWO tracks — one for your own/teammate's idea, and one for working closely with our corporate partners on an idea
• Provided food all weekend long
• Teams can be from ANY university in the Cincinnati area (including Miami, NKU, XU, etc.)

The Weekend will kick off at 4:00pm on the evening of Friday January 26th and conclude with a pitch competition in the afternoon on Sunday January 28th. 

Participation is FREE; meals and snacks will be provided. Teams will have access to the resources of the 1819 Innovation Hub (including the Makerspace for certified users), as well as several volunteer mentors from the local business & startup community.  The event requires continuous participation -- teams are expected to engage through Friday evening, Saturday all day, and until midday on Sunday.

All Bearcats + regional students are welcome -- diverse Startup Weekend teams are the most successful Startup Weekend teams.

This year's UC Startup Weekend will feature a new way for our partners to engage. 

The new corporate innovation challenge track is an opportunity for our 1819 Corporate Partners to connect with participating students and engage their talents. On Friday evening, representatives from our corporate partner organizations will have designated time to present their “reverse pitch” – question or challenge – to the students. Teams will have the option to work on the corporate challenge of their choice and present their outcomes to partner representatives alongside the original venture concepts on Sunday.
