The UC Real Estate Center at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business serves as the catalyst connecting the University of Cincinnati and the real estate industry.

The Cincinnati Business Courier reported that Cincinnati’s home prices continue to rise, outpacing the national average for the seventh straight month. According to the Courier, Cincinnati's home prices increased 6.7% from June 2024 to June 2025. Two University of Cincinnati real estate experts offered detailed insight on what this means for the Queen City.

Kroger announced in its latest earnings release that it plans to close 60 of its stores in the coming months despite strong sales. A Kroger spokesperson told WLWT that the company does not anticipate any closures in the Cincinnati or Dayton areas. Gary Painter, PhD, academic director of real estate at Lindner, spoke with WLWT to provide context on why the closures are not necessarily a cause for concern, regardless of which stores may shut down.
