African-American Chamber
The Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce is the largest African American Chamber in Ohio.
We are as committed to inclusion as we are to business development; and as focused on advocacy as we are on building capacity. We leverage regional partnerships and collaborate with organizations and supplier diversity and inclusion experts to empower businesses to succeed. The African American Chamber is your business advocate providing business education series, marketing programs and networking events to grow your business.
The African American Chamber was founded in 1996 by a group of African American business owners and consumers seeking to improve the economic status of African Americans and the African American community. The vision was to form an organization, which would advocate on behalf of emerging and established businesses, help to create new market opportunities, and provide access to capital, and revitalize African American communities.
The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky African American Chamber partners with The Sudduth Society. In 90-minute weekly sessions over 13-weeks, this program delivers a hyper-growth business curriculum that provides introductions to and opportunities with regional procurement professionals. It helps existing businesses build capacity to become the region’s next set of high-growth, minority-led businesses. Any entity with 51% minority ownership can apply to The Sudduth Society.
If you are a UC student entrepreneur, the Minority Business Assistance Centers (MBACs) can provide management, technical, financial and contract procurement assistance in addition to loan and bond packaging services. These services are available without cost to businesses located throughout Ohio and serve the needs of Ohio's small, minority and disadvantaged businesses.
