Hackathon Travel Funds
The University of Cincinnati's Center for Entrepreneurship is now providing financial support to CEAS students wishing to travel in order to compete in Hackathons.
These payments will be paid as catalyst disbursements. Whether financial support, prize, or award, payment is defined as a scholarship and educational resource. Payment could adjust or limit federal aid eligibility.
This form is to have travel costs up to $500 per group can be reimbursed—no amount above $500 can be given at this time.
These funds are to cover your travel expenses, i.e. gas costs or airfare, to and from a Hackathon event.
TRAVEL VIA CAR:
The center will reimburse $0.625/mile traveled as per university recommendations.
So, for example, if you are traveling via car 300 miles to a Chicago Hackathon, we will reimburse:
300 (miles) x $0.625/mile = $187.50
TRAVEL VIA AIRFARE:
For this application, we will reimburse flight costs up to $500 per group (not $500 each). If you plan to travel to the hackathon via air, please upload a photo of the flight you plan to purchase below.
