Cincinnati, OH — June 30, 2017 The Goering Center for Family & Private Business has formed an internal committee and selected Centennial Talent Strategy and Executive Search to lead the search for the Center’s next president and executive director. The Center’s current executive director, Larry Grypp, will retire at the end of 2017.

Affiliated with the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business, The Goering Center for Family & Private Business is the country’s largest university-based educational resource for family and private business. The president and executive director will guide the Center’s constituents in executing its mission of nurturing and educating family and private business to drive a vibrant economy.

“The President and Executive Director will lead a collaborative visioning and strategy process,” states Mike Sipple Sr., CEO, Centennial. “The successful candidate will also be responsible for the fiscal and on-going viability of the Goering Center, which experienced unprecedented growth under Larry Grypp’s leadership.”

In addition, the president and executive director will lead the retention, recruitment, development, engagement, and succession of the Center’s staff and 200-plus volunteers; serve as the primary representative of the Goering Center; serve as the lead liaison with the Center’s corporate partners and sponsors; and lead and shape Board strategy development and implementation.

“Larry Grypp’s retirement launches a succession plan that is many years in the making,” says John Goering, Center founder.  “The established framework Larry leaves behind is prepared to scale and fulfill the Center’s mission in significantly larger ways.”
