Professional Programs Invest in Leaders, Empower Organizations
Lindner's custom programs and open enrollment offerings advance careers at every level.
At Lindner, professional programs and executive education are more than skill-building — they build valued partnerships. Through deep collaboration and customized design, Lindner Professional Programs co-create learning experiences that drive real-world results.
“At Lindner, we’ve worked hard to perfect the art of professional education,” said Scott Dust, PhD, associate dean, partnership development, Kirk and Jacki Perry Professor in Leadership, and professor of management. “We know the formula for ensuring participants walk away ready to immediately make changes.”
Here are three examples of custom programs that were tailored to support organizations facing complex, evolving challenges.
Mentorship pathfinders with Great American Insurance Group
Great American Insurance Group’s IT Property & Casualty division recognized that talent retention depends on meaningful connections more than technical training, so it created “Mentorship PathFinders” in partnership with Lindner and the Warren Bennis Leadership Institute. Over six months, 15 mentors and 15 mentees engaged in guided activities, a midpoint reflection and a capstone presentation that showcased developmental growth and strengthened mentor-mentee relationships.

Critical skills workshops with Western & Southern Financial Group
Western & Southern wanted to bolster its associates’ critical thinking and project management skills. Lindner and Western & Southern designed two high-impact workshops. A fictitious case study experience was co-developed for participants to apply critical thinking to a generative AI training scenario. For project management, associates explored core frameworks for planning, execution, monitoring and team leadership.
Leadership transformation with Valvoline Global Operations
As Valvoline prepared to become a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, its learning and development leaders sought to prepare senior leadership for forthcoming change. In collaboration with Lindner, Valvoline launched a six-month, 12-module initiative focused on cultural competence, strategic communication, strengths-based leadership and “both/and” thinking. The program enabled Valvoline’s top 21 leaders to build alignment, navigate ambiguity and lead with confidence through a critical transition
Our team of scientists and engineers greatly benefited from leadership training, as it provided us with actionable strategies for improving communication, fostering innovation and leading more effectively in a technical environment.
Roger England Chief R&D Officer, Valvoline Global Operations
Open enrollment programs for individual development
In addition to custom engagements, Lindner Professional Programs offers open enrollment courses through Skills@UC, UC’s hub for non-credit learning. One such course offered in early 2025 in conjunction with the Warren Bennis Leadership Institute was “LEAD: Nurturing Your Leadership Power.” Designed for leaders navigating complexity, LEAD steered participants through three core modules: leader identity, risk and resilience, and navigating tensions.
Partnering for impact
Whether it’s creating a program from scratch or tailoring modules to complement existing development efforts, Lindner Professional Programs can assist organizations with aligning learning outcomes with strategic goals. The approach integrates world-class faculty, real-world application and a commitment to measurable impact.
