Family and privately owned businesses are deeply rooted in their communities—but many approach giving back informally, without a clear strategy. This breakfast program reframes community engagement as a core business best practice that strengthens culture, reinforces values, and supports long-term performance.

The program will begin with a presentation from Ashley Cunningham, Chief Development Officer at General Electric Credit Union, who will share a practical framework for making community giving more intentional, focused, and sustainable—without requiring large budgets or complex structures.

Every great leader starts somewhere — with a spark, a challenge, a desire to do more and be more.

The Leadership Development Institute™ (LDI) is where that spark turns into sustained growth. Over 10 engaging, high-impact sessions, you’ll discover your natural strengths, sharpen your leadership voice, and learn how to build a team that thrives under your guidance.

Whether you’re a next-generation successor stepping into larger responsibilities, or an emerging leader eager to accelerate your impact, LDI will help you move from potential to performance.

New and existing Core Members are encouraged to bring key personnel, including leadership team members and family members who are either currently involved or plan to be involved in the business.

This 90-minute, interactive session goes beyond a standard orientation. It's your gateway to fully activating your Goering Center membership – connecting you to a community of like-minded business leaders and introducing essential tools to support your long-term success.
