The Lindner MS program in Business Analytics seeks full-time and part-time students with quantitative or technical backgrounds (mathematics, engineering, statistics, science, economics etc.) who are interested in pursuing careers in the fields of business analytics and data science. Work experience is not required to enter the program which can be completed in less than a year.

Note: The MS-Business Analytics program is recognized as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must have an undergraduate bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution.
  • Three semesters, or four quarters, of college-level calculus through multivariate calculus. One course in linear algebra or matrix methods
  • A fundamental knowledge of computing, including facility in a procedural programming language like C, C++, Java, Matlab, Python, R, Ruby, SAS or Visual Basic. 
  • Official GRE or GMAT scores
  • Academic transcripts (unofficial transcripts are used for admissions review, official transcripts required when offered admission)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Essay
  • Resume
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS scores (international applicants only)

More than 90% of graduates are employed within three months of graduation.

Students are hired by leading employers such as Amazon, Disney, U.S. Bank, IBM, Kroger, Macy’s, Morgan Stanley and Procter & Gamble.

Recent graduates have accepted jobs in a wide variety of fields as data scientists, consultants, consumer analysts and financial risk analysts.

Students can transfer up to 12 semester hours of graduate credit from an AACSB accredited university. The course must have been taken within the past five years, with a grade of B or better. Courses must be approved by the academic director.
