Why study Data Analytics?

Analytics is one of the fastest growing fields in business. Businesses are increasingly leveraging sophisticated analytics to shape their competitive strategies and outperform the competition.

The Data Analytics graduate certificate (12 credit hours) prepares individuals to develop logical data models, construct data warehouses, build visually effective data displays and use sophisticated analytical techniques to glean valuable insights.

Admission Requirements

Any student with an undergraduate bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, regardless of field of study, is eligible to apply for admission to a Graduate Certificate. Applicants for the Data Analytics Certificate should have at least one course in inferential statistics but may meet this requirement by taking an additional course (BANA7011 Data Analysis) before starting the Data Analytics courses. Additional requirements are:

Many courses are taught by tenure track faculty involved in cutting edge research. Area business leaders and professionals also serve as instructors, enhancing the curriculum with their real world experiences. UC is a top notch research facility with 18 colleges offering a broad spectrum of knowledge such as medicine, engineering, architecture and mathematics.

The Data Anaytics Certificate is granted to those who satisfactorily complete the required course work, carrying a minimum GPA of 3.0 or more. The Certificate must be completed within five years of acceptance into the program. All students must contract for graduation.

Students must complete the entire certificate program in residence.

Graduate certificates are designed to be completed on a part-time basis and are not available to international applicants who require full-time status. International students can complete graduate certificates as part of a graduate degree program.
