Supporting Business Problem Solvers
The Carl H. Lindner College of Business continues to be a fundraising leader at the University of Cincinnati. During the 2021–22 academic year, we raised more than $7.5 million. Within that total, we have many gifts and success stories to celebrate as we help advance Lindner’s priorities.
Through support of the Office of Inclusive Excellence by Deloitte, PNC Bank, First Financial Bank and others, we are going beyond counting people to making people count. These efforts include new and intentional partnerships with Cincinnati Public Schools and UC Blue Ash to create pathways to Lindner, as well as focused support for Women in Finance.
Because co-op is an integral part of the Lindner experience, experience-based opportunities across the college have been strengthened. With significant support, such as the creation of the Karen Bennett Hoeb Director of Cooperative Education held by Kevin J. Hardy, Assistant Dean for Career Services, Lindner continues to increase the power of co-op.
Our scholarship support for students has expanded, too. We worked with alumni and donors to bring new opportunities to life for students to access the exceptional education Lindner provides. With new scholarships for Business Fellows, Lindner Business Honors and Lindner Women in Business — to name just a few — we are helping students shape the course of their future.
Finally, we have advanced entrepreneurship-related initiatives, notably through the hiring of Kate Harmon, the Center for Entrepreneurship’s Executive Director, El and Elaine Bourgraf Director of Entrepreneurship. As we celebrate the Center’s 25th anniversary this year in partnership with other colleges, we will elevate this work to fashion a truly interdisciplinary experience of entrepreneurial studies and practice that better serves and connects the entire UC community.
The role of philanthropy within Lindner is to champion our business problem solvers. With your support and generosity, we are offering more opportunities to our students, better research advancements for our faculty and renewed connections to our community.
