Department of Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems

The Lindner College of Business offers nationally-recognized educational programs in operations, business analytics and information systems (OBAIS) that few other institutions can match.

Operations is about designing efficient and productive processes. Good operations management is at the core of any sustainable, thriving business, and can be the difference between losing market share and gaining a distinct competitive advantage.

Our students acquire the analytics, data management, and business skills that are in high demand with employers.

Lindner is also home to the Center for Business Analytics, an academic and corporate partnership that connects students with member companies to provide experiential data analytics learning through class projects, internships and events.

Along with our core business curriculum that focus on business and information technology skills, information systems students receive hands-on experience with products from SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and Bluespring. Graduate students complete a six-month paid internship before graduation.

The Department of Operations, Business Analytics and Information Systems takes advantage of our urban environment and the opportunity it affords for conducting applied research. Our faculty regularly publish in leading academic journals and serve in editorial positions for many of these same publications.
