Why study Innovation?

With globalization and technological advances, the pace of change in business has accelerated significantly – many note that we are now in an era of hyper-competition. The successful business must constantly innovate and reinvent itself to stay ahead. This interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate is targeted at anyone engaged in the process of creating and commercializing intellectual property. It includes coursework in marketing, management, design, and entrepreneurship; and gives students a sound understanding of the principles and processes of innovation, and management of the innovation process.  http://business.uc.edu/graduate/certificates/cert-crossdisciplinary.html

Admission Requirements

  • Must hold a baccalaureate degree
  • Unofficial transcripts used for admissions review. When offered admission, official academic transcripts required
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Essay
  • Resume

The Innovation Graduate Certificate is granted to those who satisfactorily complete the required course work, carrying a minimum GPA of 3.0 or more. The certificate must be completed within five years of acceptance into the program. All students must contract for graduation.

Students must complete the entire certificate program in residence.

Graduate certificates are designed to be completed on a part-time basis and are not available to international applicants who require full-time status. International students can complete graduate certificates as part of a graduate degree program.

The University of Cincinnati and all regional campuses are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review.
