Study Abroad
What Is a Business Study Abroad Program?
We believe impactful engagement in global knowledge and experiences is essential to developing innovative business leaders.
Study abroad programs are designed to expose students to Lindner's PACE framework:
- Professionalism: Students take company tours and attend industry presentations.
- Academics: Partner universities give discipline-specific lectures to our students.
- Character: Students take part in cultural activities to grow in their global competency.
- Engagement: Our programs allow students to network with their faculty and peers.

Plan Your Study Abroad Experience
How much does it cost to study abroad?
The cost of a study abroad program varies depending on the length of the program as well as the destination. However, scholarships are awarded automatically to students who study abroad to help offset the cost, and financial aid generally travels with you. Students can also apply for UC's Lead and Grow Grant for additional funding. Read more about how to fund a study abroad program.
Can I graduate on time if I study abroad but also need to co-op?
Yes! Study abroad programs range in length from 10 days to a full semester, and they are offered at various times throughout the academic year so you can study abroad, co-op and graduate when and how you want to.
Can I get course credit for studying abroad?
Yes! Our programs and partner universities offer coursework that can transfer directly to your business degree. Faculty-led programs are each worth three credit hours and can earn students credit for various major or minor electives. For our long-term programs, many courses across LCB disciplines are already approved for transferrable credit in our Credit Approval Transfer Service (CATS) system. Students should work with their academic advisor to ensure a study abroad program will be applicable for their degree.
Are the program destinations safe?
UC International and the Lindner International Programs Office are always monitoring the safety of the countries and areas where we send our students. Your safety abroad is our No. 1 priority.
Can I study abroad more than once?
Our programs are designed in a way that students can study abroad multiple times throughout their undergraduate career.
By immersing themselves in different environments and cultures, students are better equipped to navigate the complexities of the field and make meaningful contributions to the industry upon graduation.
