Speaking to freshmen at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, Bobby Schuckmann, BBA '05, shared his unique career path into the realm of sports management.
Schuckmann, who graduated from Lindner with a marketing degree, answered students’ questions about his journey to reach this distinctive career path in professional sports. He is the vice president and wealth management advisor for the Private Client Reserve of US Bank: Entertainment and Professional Sports Group.
Emphasizing the need to find a career instead of a job, Schuckmann noted the importance of networking in college to better position yourself to search for a career after graduation.
Schuckmann says, “Your business degree is your greatest foundation in pursuing your career.”
However, he says, while students need to prepare now for a career, the hard work will continue after graduation.
Bobby works with professional athletes and entertainers by providing them with wealth management and private banking services.
