Crystal Holliday, a graduate student in the Master of Science in Taxation program at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, won a national $1,500 scholarship from the Tax Executives Institute Inc., a premier association of in-house tax professionals from the U.S., Canada, Asia and Europe.
Completing her BBA in accounting from the Lindner College of Business in August of 2012, Holliday opted to further her education and enrolled in Lindner’s Master of Science in Taxation program to become a Certified Public Accountant.
As an undergraduate, Holliday graduated from Lindner with a GPA of 3.29. She worked full time as a payroll/accounting clerk and billing specialist for Cincinnati Area Senior Services since August 2008 to finance 80% of her education
Maureen Bruns, academic director of the MS-Tax program, says Holliday is deserving of the award.
“Crystal is bright, articulate, professional and motivated,” Bruns says. “She has the confidence and technical skills to achieve her goals.”
