For his unrelenting effort to help students succeed, Rob Rokey, professor-educator of Information Systems, has been selected as the first recipient of the newly created Dean’s Award for Faculty Excellence at the Lindner College of Business.
The award, created by UC Provost Beverly Davenport and UC Vice President for Research Patrick Limbach, recognizes outstanding faculty members in each college “who have done an exceptional job of service in an especially important or innovative way.” Each recipient receives $2,000 to support their teaching or research.
Rokey, who serves as director of Lindner’s Master of Science in Information Systems program, has worked tirelessly to grow the program to 99 students while upholding its level of quality as evidenced by the program’s 100% job placement rate.
Rokey also represents Lindner in the local community by serving as a leader in The INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati program, which exposes the best and brightest high school students to technology majors and career paths. The program, in which students stay in UC dorms over the summer, has received national attention.
