Kostman’s talk begins at 7:30 p.m. and Hoyne will begin at 8:35 p.m. on October 20 in room 112 at Lindner Hall. The talk is free and open to the public.
Kostman holds a PhD in psychology from the City University of New York and completed his post-doctoral work in mathematics and physics at the New England Complex Systems Institute at Harvard and MIT. A decorated veteran, he served as a team leader of an elite reconnaissance team with the US Army Special Forces. His experience in leveraging data to better understand customers and identify marketing opportunities includes work at Keurig Green Mountain, Samsung, AIG and several US intelligence, defense and security agencies, as well as the Obama 2012 presidential campaign on social media analysis and insights.
Hoyne, the author of more than a dozen patent applications and defensive publications for digital marketing analyses and optimization techniques, will talk about his work. At Google, he leads the charge to help advertisers measure and optimize marketing activity across the platforms of Google Analytics and AdWords. Hoyne received an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and an undergraduate degree from Purdue University.
Hoyne and Kostman are also in the lineup of featured speakers at the Oct. 21 Analytics that Excite conference in Erlanger, Ky. The conference unites top analytics professionals in the field and includes speakers from PBS Digital, Legal Zoom, Cowan’s Auctions and others.
