UC Entrepreneurship Club Set To Begin 2016-17 Year Packed with Speakers And Events

The University of Cincinnati’s Entrepreneurship Club is excited for another academic year of inspiring students who are interested in enterprise success. Open to all colleges at UC, the E-Club is a social club with venture-based goals. The wide array of backgrounds of the students in the E-Club -- everything from business to engineering to DAAP -- provides for a well-rounded environment with lots of exciting conversations happening across industries. This semester expects to see panels made up of several UC alumni that have triumphed in the business world after college such as Josh Rudd of Piola Shoes & Revolution Rotisserie & Bar, Kolin Koehl of Monster Social Media, and many more. These talk-backs provide students with the knowledge they need to set goals during their time in school to ensure their financial success after graduation.

The Entrepreneurship Club is proud to be partnered with the Center for Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (CEC). The E-Club provides lots of volunteers for CEC events and, in turn, the CEC supports the efforts of E-Club and the workshops they organize. One such workshop is a talk by Buddy LaRosa, of LaRosa’s Pizzeria fame, scheduled in November. President of the E-Club, Tyler Hood, is appreciative of the relationship formed between the E-Club and the CEC. According to Hood, “The partnership between the Entrepreneurship Club and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Commercialization has been a huge part of my education at the University of Cincinnati and has connected me to several resources, business contacts, and friendships that I will cherish for many, many years to come.”

Along with social gatherings, the E-Club also organizes networking opportunities, tours of accelerators and incubators in the StartupCincy ecosystem, and pitch competitions geared toward business savvy students. Interested students can find contact information and social media links on their UC web page. This club is a great asset to the university and helps the CEC fulfill its mission of “multiplying social entrepreneurship” across campus and in the community.
