The University of Cincinnati’s Center for Business Analytics announces that The E. W. Scripps Company recently joined the Center as a sponsoring member. This brings the total Center membership to 21 organizations and includes a broad range of consumer, manufacturing, banking, insurance, healthcare, and technology companies.
In collaboration with its corporate sponsors, the Center for Business Analytics brings together the corporate community and UC faculty and students to discuss the application of analytics to issues faced by business, government and non-profit organizations. Members have access to symposia, student projects, professional training, and applied research that focuses on utilizing techniques such as data visualization, data mining, predictive modeling, simulation and optimization.
“This is an incredible opportunity for Scripps to work in partnership with the UC Center for Business Analytics and its affiliated companies and leaders,” said Eric Duell, vice president of analytics and intelligence for Scripps. “We work to create a better-informed world, and realizing that goal demands the science of analytics and data mining to develop consumer insights, meaningful content, and stronger communities. We expect to further elevate Cincinnati as a national hub in the field of analytics. These relationships strengthen our position and open doors to new business opportunities. This is an investment in the future of Scripps and the region.”
The E.W. Scripps Company serves audiences and businesses through a growing portfolio of television, radio and digital media brands.
