Carol Butler has been named President of the University of Cincinnati’s Goering Center for Family & Private Business. She succeeds Larry Grypp who served in the role for nearly a decade during a time of extreme growth in membership and services.

Goering Center Announces the Six Family and Private Business Awards Winners of 2017

The 18th Annual Goering Center Family and Private Business Awards was held Tuesday, September 12, at Jack Casino in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.  More than 650 people attended the event to honor Cincinnati’s top businesses.  The evening was hosted by Goering Center President Larry Grypp and celebrity emcee, Drew Lachey.

The University of Cincinnati’s Goering Center for Family & Private Business reveals the JTM Food Group is the 2017 Family Hall of Fame Honoree.

The Goering Center each year awards a company, family or individual with induction into Cincinnati’s exclusive Greater Cincinnati Family Business Hall of Fame.  Since 2011, honorees have included LaRosa’s, The Castellini Companies, Graeter’s and now for 2017 the Goering Center names the JTM Food Group as recipient of this award.

Goering Center Seeking President Executive Director

The Goering Center for Family & Private Business has formed an internal committee and selected Centennial Talent Strategy and Executive Search to lead the search for the Center’s next president and executive director. The Center’s current executive director, Larry Grypp, will retire at the end of 2017.

Goering Center Announces Cincinnati’s Top Six Private and Family Businesses

The 17th Annual Goering Center Family and Private Business Awards gala was held Tuesday, September 13, at the Cincinnati Jack Casino in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.  More than 725 people attended the event to honor Cincinnati’s top businesses.  From 570 nominated companies, the panel of judges narrowed the list to 75 semi-finalists and from those, selected one winner and two finalists in six categories identifying Cincinnati’s finest private and family businesses.

Bob Goen and Marianne Curan from WRRM (WARM 98) Cincinnati will emcee the University of Cincinnati, Goering Center’s 17th Annual Family & Private Business Awards. “Bob and Marianne will bring a creative ‘punch’ to the presentation of the award winning family and private businesses across our region,” said Larry Grypp, president, Goering Center. “Their dynamic presentation of our awards last year was exceptional, so we invited them for an encore.”

Drees Homes Named 2016 Inductee Into The Goering Center's Family Business Hall of Fame

The University of Cincinnati’s Goering Center for Family and Private Business announces The Drees Company as the 2016 Family and Private Business Hall of Fame Honoree.The Drees Company was selected for outstanding achievements in four areas: community service, community image, employment growth and philanthropy. This year will mark only the fourth company selected to the Goering Center Family Business Hall of Fame, joining these other distinguished businesses: LaRosa’s (2011), The Castellini Companies (2013) and Graeter’s, Inc. (2015).
