Teaching Interest
Business Essentials, Entrepreneurship & Innovation

The courses prepare the young future leaders and entrepreneurs for the rewards and pitfalls of their own career choice. The content focuses on the essentials of effective management of a company, should that be a well established organization or a start-up. Understanding the positioning of a company within its own vertical to meet the various marketing, financial, and technological challenges is crucial in the modern business arena.

All courses' topics are applicable to successfully integrate with and creating a new product or service within an existing company (corporate entrepreneurship) as well as starting a new not-for-profit venture (social entrepreneurship). The learning path integrates “real-time” decision-making for key management issues as students follow the organizational structure and the development of a new venture from start-up to exit strategy. Through cases, exercises, interviews, and discussion students apply course concepts to actual business scenarios in order to practice the broad range of skills required to function as part of an existing and running organization, or to start and build a brand new company in today’s complex world.
