Carol Butler is President of the Goering Center for Family and Private Business. She is a former Fortune 500 executive with 30 years’ experience successfully leading profitable, global businesses within the manufacturing and distribution industries. Since 2013 she operated a consulting firm, working with leaders to optimize business results through the development of people, culture and leadership. She also understands the needs of private and family businesses, having been raised in a family business which is now in its third generation of operation – Butler’s Orchard in Maryland. Carol is involved in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky communities, serving on the Board of Directors for Life Learning Center and Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation.

Tim joined the Goering Center in November 2020. Tim's primary role is to work closely with our members to optimize their business outcomes with the help of the Center's unique programs and institutes. As a valued partner, Tim will be guiding them through our array of high-value opportunities to find those best suited to them at the various stages of their business success journey. Prior to joining our team, Tim was Vice President for IronRoad, providing Human Resource, Payroll and Risk Management services. His extensive experience in the management and growth of a variety of businesses makes him a valuable asset to both our team and our members!

Sarah Dieckman joined the Goering Center marketing team in January 2021 and is primarily responsible for our marketing communications across all channels. Sarah went to high school at Saint Ursula Academy and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in English and a minor in Business Economics. She worked in PR in Chicago and NYC before coming back to Cincinnati and joining the Goering Center.

Sue joined the University of Cincinnati Economics Center in 2012 as the Business Manager, and later that year, expanded her role to include the Goering Center. Sue's responsibilities include all accounting functions, as well as strategic long and short range forecasting and budgeting. Sue received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1990 from the University of Cincinnati. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Lisa Jonas is Program Director at the Goering Center. She is a senior marketing and communications leader with extensive experience in executive and employee communications, organizational change management, public and media relations, as well as digital and traditional marketing. She is a Cincinnati native and graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English.

Nicole stepped on the scene at the Goering Center as a Core Member in 2018. The following year, she became Marketing Volunteer and then officially joined the staff as Marketing Director in 2020. She is responsible for the Goering Center’s marketing strategy, brand management, marketing materials, social media/Emarketing, advertising, publishing, public relations, market research, website management, Professional Services Registry strategy and marketing budget, to name a few areas. Her 20-year business-to-business marketing career spans the globe, and covers a broad variety of manufacturing industries, from automotive and plastics to electrical cable and supply chain technologies. Nicole is a graduate of the University of Warwick and Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.

Maria joined the Goering Center team as a co-op in January 2020. She is a Cincinnati native and Saint Ursula Academy alumna. Maria will graduate in Spring 2021 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business. Following her graduation, she will transition into her new full-time role at the Goering Center.

David joined the Goering Center in February 2018 as the New Member Engagement Director after spending over 30 years in various leadership roles in the local media space under both public and private business ownership structures. Most recently, he was a managing partner and COO with CBD Media & Kith Media, serving small, private business enterprises in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region. David’s passion is education-based enterprises and working with small businesses and individuals to improve business outcomes. David and his wife, Kathy, have three young adult children and reside in Cincinnati.

Patty, formerly of KeyBank Trust Department, has a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education and Communication from Purdue University. She is also certified in Corporate Law and has extensive training and experience in Trust Administration. A mother of three adult children, Patty is a long-time Cincinnatian, currently residing in Anderson Township. Patty is integral to the successful operation of the Goering Center, providing front-line support to the Center’s directors and the president, helping the Center maintain high levels of service.
