Carol Butler



Carol is a former Fortune 500 Executive with 30 years of experience successfully leading profitable, global businesses within the manufacturing and distribution industries. As she stepped into her second act – management consulting, executive coaching and board service – she also became a volunteer at the Goering Center. This volunteer experience transitioned to her current role as president of the non-profit organization that is affiliated with the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati where she has also served as an adjunct professor. Carol - having grown up in a family business – is dedicated to making a distinct difference in the success of the family and private business member companies and in the Greater Cincinnati region. Carol serves on the Life Learning Center Board along with 3 for profit boards – Wright Brothers Global Gas, R B Tool & Manufacturing and New Riff Distillery. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Lisa Bosse

Director of Programs & Roundtables


Lisa Bosse is Director of Programs and Roundtables. In her role, Lisa produces the Center’s curriculum, engaging regional experts to develop programming focused on intergenerational business transition, leadership development, strategic planning, advisory boards, communication and culture building. In 2021, she reimagined the Next Generation Institute™, the Goering Center’s flagship program, which equips owners and their successors to manage the complexities of a family business transition.

As Roundtables Director, Lisa has oversight of 24 peer advisory groups serving nearly 200 leaders of family and private businesses.

Prior to joining the Goering Center, Lisa led business, integration and marketing communications for xpedx, an International Paper Company. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Cincinnati.

Tim Devine

Membership Development Manager


Tim joined the Goering Center in November 2020. Tim's primary role is to work closely with our members to optimize their business outcomes with the help of the Center's unique programs and institutes. As a valued partner, Tim will be guiding them through our array of high-value opportunities to find those best suited to them at the various stages of their business success journey. Prior to joining our team, Tim was Vice President for IronRoad, providing Human Resource, Payroll and Risk Management services. His extensive experience in the management and growth of a variety of businesses makes him a valuable asset to both our team and our members!

Sarah Dieckman

Marketing Communications Manager


Sarah joined the Goering Center marketing team in January 2021 and is responsible for our marketing communications across all channels. Sarah is a Saint Ursula Academy alumna and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in English and a minor in Business Economics. She worked in public relations in Chicago and NYC before coming back to Cincinnati and joining the Goering Center.

Brandie Ellery

Operations Manager


Brandie joined the Goering Center in August 2022. Brandie will serve as the Operations Manager ensuring smooth operations of the center by overseeing critical member and employee functions. A mother of four children, Brandie brings very strong organizational, strategic planning, and assessment skills. Brandie is a long-time Cincinnatian, currently residing in East Westwood. Most recently, she was the Social Service Lead at St. Vincent de Paul.

Susan Heilmayer



Sue joined the University of Cincinnati Economics Center in 2012 as the Business Manager, and later that year, expanded her role to include the Goering Center. Sue's responsibilities include all accounting functions, as well as strategic long and short range forecasting and budgeting. Sue received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1990 from the University of Cincinnati. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Nicole Menkhaus

Marketing Director


Nicole stepped on the scene at the Goering Center as a Core Member in 2018. The following year, she became Marketing Volunteer and then officially joined the staff as Marketing Director in 2020. She is responsible for the Goering Center’s marketing strategy, brand management, marketing materials, social media/Emarketing, advertising, publishing, public relations, market research, website management, Professional Services Registry strategy and marketing budget, to name a few areas. Her 20-year business-to-business marketing career spans the globe, and covers a broad variety of manufacturing industries, from automotive and plastics to electrical cable and supply chain technologies. Nicole is a graduate of the University of Warwick and Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.

Membership Director


David joined the Goering Center in February 2018 as the New Member Engagement Director after spending over 30 years in various leadership roles in the local media space under both public and private business ownership structures. Most recently, he was a managing partner and COO with CBD Media & Kith Media, serving small, private business enterprises in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region. David’s passion is education-based enterprises and working with small businesses and individuals to improve business outcomes. David and his wife, Kathy, have three young adult children and reside in Cincinnati.

Executive Administrative Assistant


Patty, formerly of KeyBank Trust Department, has a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education and Communication from Purdue University. She is also certified in Corporate Law and has extensive training and experience in Trust Administration. A mother of three adult children, Patty is a long-time Cincinnatian, currently residing in Anderson Township. Patty is integral to the successful operation of the Goering Center, providing front-line support to the Center’s directors and the president, helping the Center maintain high levels of service.
