Established in 1989, the Goering Center serves more than 400 member companies, making it North America’s largest university-based educational non-profit center for family and private businesses. The Center’s mission is to nurture and educate family and private businesses to drive a vibrant economy and promote the effective continuity of those businesses. Affiliation with the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati provides access to a vast resource of business programming and expertise. The Director of Marketing owns marketing and communications for the organization; is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and administering high-profile marketing initiatives, creative needs, programs, and projects relating to business recruitment, development, and retention. The Director is the leader of branding for the Center, lead generation campaigns, marketing analysis, highlighting project win announcements, and developing and implementing strategic direction in alignment with the organization’s goals. This role works closely with the Business Development team. This position manages and works with identifying and directing a variety of partners, external agencies, volunteers, and consultants and reports to the President.
