Business as a Force for Change
At Lindner, we empower business problem solvers by helping them learn the skills that can positively impact our world. Private philanthropy is a vital funding source for our mission, allowing Lindner to implement new programming, expand scholarship offerings, support our centers and partnerships, retain and recruit world-class faculty, and much more.
As the No. 1-ranked public university in cooperative education, we have raised more than $10 million over the past two years in support of co-op to ensure that current and future Lindner students can gain multiple paid, professional experiences before they graduate. To further encourage experiential learning, over the 2022-23 academic year we awarded $1.3 million in scholarships and supported 468 students traveling to 27 countries for study abroad experiences.
Since the Next, Now campaign was launched in 2014, Lindner has raised over $112 million, and we are not done yet — our goal is $120 million by June 2024. Support comes via donations and major gifts, bequests, scholarships, in-kind gifts and contributions to annual fundraising activities. It amazes me when I hear stories from people whose lives have been transformed by philanthropy, and who are ready to pay it forward. It is why I love what I do, and it is the UC Foundation’s purpose.
