Academic Excellence and Support Services
UC's Academic Excellence and Support Services assists students through two dedicated centers.
Academic Standing Policy
University of Cincinnati students are required to meet specific grade point average standards to remain in good academic standing. To avoid potential consequences of unmet standards, students should review the Undergraduate Academic Standing Policy.
Academic Integrity Policy
All academic programs at the Lindner College of Business will apply a "Two Strikes Policy" regarding Academic Integrity. Any student who has been found responsible for two cases of academic misconduct may be dismissed from the college. The "Two Strikes Policy" supplements the UC Student Code of Conduct. All cases of academic misconduct (e.g., cheating, plagiarism, falsification) will be formally reported by faculty. Students will be afforded due process for allegations, as outlined in the policy.
Students are responsible for being aware of important dates and deadlines for each semester. Become familiar with the UC Office of the Registrar's academic calendars.
Students can review their progress towards degree by utilizing the Degree Audit that is available in Catalyst. Keep in mind that the degree audit is a tool to assist you with planning, but the college office is the final authority in determining completion of your degree requirements.
Professional counseling services
Counseling and outreach programs to assist students with addressing and resolving personal issues are available to students through the Counseling and Psychological Services Center.
Post-grad Professional School
Students interested in continuing to law school and other professional schools should contact the Pre-Professional Advising Center for assistance with resources and the application process.
