What is the Circle of Excellence?

The Circle of Excellence is a selective distinction for top performers, providing these students access to certain business honors privileges in order to further their PACE development.

 

What are the requirements to stay in the Circle of Excellence?

Maintain 3.4 cumulative GPA, if fall below, have one semester of probation Complete PACE Experiences – complete a minimum of 4 experiences Professional – minimum 2 (co-op, internship, professional part-time work) International – study abroad, international service learning Service – voluntarism, service learning Leadership – student organizations executive member, student government, PACE Leader (leader of the freshman experience)

 

What are the co-op and internship opportunities for the Circle of Excellence?

All co-op and internship opportunities for honors and non-honors students are the same.  All Lindner students have access to the Lindner Career Services, a department dedicated to the professional advancement of Lindner students.

Circle of Excellence students will have access to special professional development and networking events, along with Lindner Honors-PLUS, Kolodzik Business Scholars and Business Fellows.

 

Can students be in the Circle of Excellence as well as one of the Business Honors Programs (Lindner Honors-PLUS or Kolodzik Business Scholars)?

No, students may be selected into only one of the following: LHP, KBS or Circle of Excellence. Students in the Circle of Excellence may apply to transfer into KBS or LHP at the end of freshman year. 

 

How selective is the Circle of Excellence?

 This is a highly selective distinction, seeking up to 50 freshmen and sophomores each year from the top 10% of students
