(*) License can only be applied to the software if it resides on a University of Cincinnati (UC) owned computer. If the software needs to be installed on a personal computer, visit the UC bookstore or the software vendor directly for a personal copy.
(**) License can be applied to non-UC owned computers per the negotiated agreement with the software vendor.
GetIT Request Required: A formal GetIT request will need to be made through the GetIT website. This process should be completed by your department administrator.
LCB License Supplied: The LCB Service Desk will install the software and connect to an LCB or UC license server for software validation. Please email cobhelpdesk@uc.edu to formally request your copy.
LCB Lab & COBAPPS: Software is available in the LCB computer labs and the remote desktop services server COBAPPS. For instructions to use COBAPPS, email cobhelpdesk@uc.edu.
Online/Off-Campus Students & Faculty
The Carl H. Lindner College of Business (LCB) online and off-campus students should use the acquisition table above to acquire software. In the event that an LCB license needs to be installed on a remote computer, the LCB Service Desk will use remote assistance technololgy to complete the installation. Please email cobhelpdesk@uc.edu if you have any additional needs or concerns.
General Note
Most software companies require faculty to be actively using the software with a course they are currently teaching to receive the free or discounted license. If a faculty member would like to use the software for personal research or outside activities, they are required to obtain a correlating license for that use. Please send all inquires to cobhelpdesk@uc.edu.
