- exposure to global business
- options in foreign languages, global area studies, and study abroad
- a broad business core, to give students exposure to all business functions
- a choice of major with the possibility of adding a second major in a secondary business discipline
- the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience through the co-op and internship programs
- experiential learning opportunities through internships and field service projects
- college-sponsored study abroad
The Professional Practice Program, founded at UC in 1906, is a cooperative education opportunity alternating work and study quarters and provides an excellent option for all full-time, day students. Participation in the co-op program offers paid, practical work experience in some of the country's best business organizations. For those students who do not wish to co-op, the Division of Professional Practice offers a formal internship program. Learning current industry practices and enhancing employment opportunities after graduation are key features of both programs.
