How to Schedule an Appointment
Appointments with advisors are scheduled by the front counter staff in 105 Lindner Hall either in person or by calling (513) 556-7030. Advising appointments are not scheduled through email.
Tips and Information
- Appointments must be scheduled at least one day in advance.
- During the heaviest registration periods, you may need to call at least two weeks in advance to schedule a meeting time.
- Due to the student-to-advisor ratio, it is recommended that students plan ahead to schedule advising appointments.
- Our goal is to try to see students within a shorter timeframe. However, appropriate planning and awareness are necessary on the part of each student as well. Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes.
Summer Advising Availability
Please be aware that the shortened summer quarter will restrict advising availability as the advising staff works to complete freshman and transfer student orientations during this limited window.
Students should consider utilizing their resources – the semester degree audits and the Individualized Advising Plans (IAP) that will be prepared by advisors – to assist with basic registration questions that do not require an appointment.
Students with concerns about summer quarter 2012 or fall semester 2012 should make sure to meet with an advisor during spring quarter 2012 when availability will be greater. Remember that appointments may book out up to three weeks in advance once fall semester registration begins. Please plan in advance to schedule an appointment appropriately.
Walk-in Appointments
Walk-in advising for quick questions is available the first few days of each quarter. Students who have more extensive concerns or wish to discuss graduation are encouraged to make appointments with advisors after the walk-in period has ended.
Rescheduling
Students who do not arrive on time for an appointment may be asked to reschedule so as not to disrupt other student appointments. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please notify the office by calling (513) 556-7030.
