Specialization and Focus

An innovative feature of the MS-Finance program in the Lindner College of Business is the ability to select an area of specialization.  This feature builds on the breadth and depth of the curriculum offered in Finance at the Lindner College of Business.  The strong core, coupled with the specialization options, gives you the flexibility to design a program to meet your personal goals.

The MS-Finance program currently supports the following focus areas: 

•  Corporate Finance
•  Investments
•  Real Estate
•  Risk Management

Each area of focus consists of three courses (four courses in Real Estate) that taken together give you added depth in your chosen specialization.  

Do I have to Specialize?

No.  The MS-Finance program is already narrowly focused on Finance relative to an MBA degree.  You may choose a more generalist path within Finance and take courses across finance and related fields.  However, you must select one of the focus area capstone courses to complete your program.
