The MS in Accounting Program is a degree program that satisfies the education requirements to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination in the State of Ohio.
The MS in Accounting Program is designed for the following types of students:
- students with a baccalaureate degree in accounting
- students with a non-accounting business degree
- students with a non-business degree.
Students with a baccalaureate degree in Accounting are required to take 48-quarter credits of graduate courses. These students may choose from one of the following tracks. Students with a non-accounting business degree are required to take 60-quarter credits of graduate courses and students with a non-business degree are required to take 74-quarter credits of graduate courses.
The MS in Accounting Program at the University of Cincinnati is offered in two formats:
- as a Full-Time Program for students who can take 16 quarter credits of coursework per quarter
- as a Part-Time Program for students who are currently employed and can only take two courses per quarter in the evenings.
The length of the program will vary depending upon whether the student has a baccalaureate degree in accounting, a non-accounting business degree or a non-business degree.
