Requirements
- A completed (or close to completed) bachelor's degree. The degree does not need to be in economics. Your undergraduate GPA needs to be a 3.0 or higher. Your bachelor's degree needs to be completed prior to enrollment in the program.
- Completion (with a grade of 'B' or better) of:
- An intermediate-level course in microeconomic theory (one semester or two quarters)
- An intermediate-level course in macroeconomic theory
- One semester or two quarters of college-level calculus
- One course in college-level statistics
- A score from the GRE or GMAT exam taken within the last three years.
- English proficiency is required of all applicants whose native language is not English. Students can demonstrate proficiency in a number of ways at the graduate level. Most students fulfill the English requirement by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Testing System (IELTS).
- 600 (paper-based test), or
- 250 (computer-based test), or
- 100 (internet-based test)
Please note that these scores are used as only one source of information in the admission process.
For IELTS an overall band score of 7.0 is sufficient for graduate admission.
