Academics

As of Fall 2012, the University of Cincinnati is moving to semesters.  With this move, the MA in Applied Economics program has structured its course offerings so that the degree can now be completed in one calendar year for full-time students, and in two calendar years for part-time students.  That means that many full-time students beginning the program in late August 2012 will be able to complete their studies by August 2013.

By the end of the program, MA in Applied Economics graduates:

  • will be able to acquire and apply advanced economic principles to essential problems in business and economics.
  • will be able to manage and analyze data using familiar software packages, such as SAS
  • will be able to communicate clearly and cogently in written and oral form using modern technology.
  • will have acquired advanced quantitative and econometric techniques, and be able use them to design and conduct applied economic research that will inform managerial and policy decision-making.
