Tamika Jones, BA ’15, took home UC’s highest honor for an undergraduate female on April 11 by earning the 2015 C-Ring.

Jones, a Spanish and Communications major with a marketing minor from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, won the coveted ring awarded each spring to an outstanding graduating senior woman at UC. The Turner Scholar was nominated for the award by Ligia Gomez, MA, Assistant Professor-Educator, for her work in advocacy and to the UC community.

Two additional Lindner students, Christina Beer, BBA ’15 (Information Systems and Finance) and Sarah Clem MS ’15 (Marketing and Entrepreneurship), were named as finalists for the award.

First given in 1922 by the Athletics Department to the best "all around gal," the C-Ring has evolved over the last 90-plus years to become an all-university award based on several rigorous criteria, including GPA, community service, campus betterment and the advancement of women.
