Lane Hart, BBA '13, is among five UC undergraduate students to receive a prestigious honor—the Presidential Leadership Medal of Excellence.
A UC tradition since 2002, the recipients of the award were selected for their academic excellence, commitment to co-curricular activities, potential for future success and support of UC's goals and values that include dedication to diversity.
Hart and the other 2013 recipients will be introduced at the University Recognition Ceremony at 4PM Sunday, April 14, in the Great Hall of Tangeman University Center, where UC President Santa J. Ono will present them with the medal.
Hart, a senior in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, is a Marvin P. Kolodzik Business Scholar and 2012-2013 Student Body President. He is earning bachelor degrees in information systems and finance, with a minor in Asian studies. His leadership roles and community service experience is vast and includes serving as a student ambassador and ROAR student tour guide, member and co-director of Student Government's First Year Leadership Program (FYLP), co-president of Serve Beyond Cincinnati, participant of UC's Racial Awareness Program (RAPP) and member of the Student Alumni Council.
