New cutting-edge facility expected to be completed in fall 2018.

The University of Cincinnati Foundation today announced a multi-million dollar fundraising campaign for a new home for the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business. The new building is projected to cost more than $100 million and span at least 260,000 square feet. Its location is tentatively planned for the site of the current Russell C. Myers Alumni Center and Faculty Club building, with construction expected to be completed by fall 2018. The Alumni Association will relocate to a to-be-determined innovative space.

“The Lindner College of Business is on an upward trajectory, having recently achieved the nation’s single biggest rankings jump. Providing a best-in-class space for our accomplished students, faculty and staff will only accelerate our rise to the top,” said David Szymanski, dean of the Lindner College of Business. “I call upon our generous partners to invest in our future together.”

The current building, located at 2925 Campus Green Drive, is nearly three decades old and unable to accommodate the college’s rapid growth. Enrollment in undergraduate and graduate business degrees have both increased, up 30 percent and 100 percent since 2010. About one third of UC business classes are now taught outside Lindner Hall.

“The Lindner College of Business consistently produces quality graduates, innovative research and valuable community and corporate engagement,” said UC President Santa Ono. “By investing in the future of the college, you not only benefit UC but you help advance the Greater Cincinnati community and further our long-standing partnership with the city.”

In recent years, the Lindner College of Business has received numerous accolades. Its MBA program had the largest two-year rankings jump in the country and several specialty programs at the undergraduate level are ranked in the top 10 nationally. The new building will help propel this growth and spur further national and international recognition.

“While this fundraising campaign will ultimately provide a new building for the Lindner College of Business, it is really all about the people who will benefit from the new space – the students, faculty, staff and visiting professionals,” said UC Foundation President Rod Grabowski. “We are thankful for our generous partners who have already invested in the project and are excited for the future.”

Those interested in making a gift to the new building fund should contact the college’s Senior Director of Development, Stephen Rosfeld, at 513-556-5605.
