UC Graduates Rank Among Top Marketing Research Leadership

The American Marketing Association released its latest ranking of the top U.S. marketing research companies, with four UC graduates among the top 50 leaders of those companies.

For the 38th year, the AmericanMarketing Association (AMA) has released its annual ranking of the top marketing research companies in the U.S. Graduates of the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business lead four of the 50 top market research companies listed in the 2011 Honomichl Report, named for Jack Honomichl, founder of Inside Research industry newsletter. These leaders include:

  • Jeff Miller, MBA ‘98, CEO and chairman of the board of directors of Burke, Inc., in Cincinnati, ranked 24th;
  • Adam Rodgers, BBA ‘83, president and CEO of MLV Group Inc., in Jupiter, Florida, ranked 25th;
  • Randy Brooks, MBA ‘75, founder and president of Directions Research Inc., ranked 28th. Brooks founded Directions Research in 1988;
  • John Gongos, MBA ‘84, president and CEO of Gongos Research Inc., in Auburn Hills, Michigan, ranked 48th. Gongos formed Gongos and Associates in 1991.

The Lindner College of Business has historically had an active AMA Chapter on campus, with more than 50 members. The chapter provides opportunities for students to grow professionally through community service projects, case study competitions, and networking with the Cincinnati AMA Chapter and their Young Professionals group. The American Marketing Association is North America's largest organization for marketing professionals, with over 30,000 members in 74 professional chapters and over 200 collegiate chapters.
