Thomas M. Nies, BBA ’62, MBA ’68, Cincom Systems president and CEO , will receive the Carl H. Lindner Award for Outstanding Business Achievement. This award is given to a graduate of the college with outstanding business achievement as defined by his/her entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to business and the community and achievement of the highest level of success within one’s profession.
For their commitment to the Lindner College of Business, Thomas E. Mischell, BBA '70, senior vice president of American Financial Group, and Kirk L. Perry, BBA '90, president of P&G’s Global Family Care, will receive the Distinguished Service Award. This accolade recognizes contributions to the Lindner College of Business, the University of Cincinnati as a whole, and/or the Cincinnati community.
Fifth Third Bank will be awarded the Business Partnership Award for its substantial support to the Lindner College of Business and offering of growth opportunities for its students.
The Carl H. Lindner Scholarship recipient, chosen from the Lindner College of Business student body, is announced and awarded on the evening of the event.
Elroy E.Bourgraf, BBA '54, chairman of Ferno-Washington Inc. and a 1997 recipient of the Carl H. Lindner Award for Outstanding Business Achievement, serves as honorary chairman of this year’s event.
