PNC Renews Multiyear Partnership with UC Real Estate Center.

UC's Carl H. Lindner College of Business earlier this year welcomed PNC as its exclusive Premier Partner for its Real Estate Center. The financial services company renewed its three-year partnership with UC’s Real Estate Center and commits to help educate and train future real estate professionals.

“We are honored to have PNC as our continued Premier Partner for the UC Real Estate Center. Such a partnership will not only impact the lives of the students at UC, but it will help to advance the regional real estate industry by providing a tremendous amount of resources relevant to a changing world,” says Lindner College of Business Dean David M. Szymanski.

PNC's continued partnership includes the sponsorship of the 24th annual UC Real Estate Banquet at 5:30PM on June 5, 2013 at the Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza, 35 West Fifth Street, downtown Cincinnati.

The UC Real Estate Center provides a broad-based curriculum which produces well-rounded future real estate professionals. A real estate major, or minor, at UC is flexible and broad based, while emphasizing an entrepreneurial spirit. It combines a core curriculum covering the functional areas of business (accounting, economics, finance, information systems, marketing, and operations management) with specialized coursework in real estate.

"The Carl H. Lindner College of Business and its programs are an important asset to this community," says Kay Geiger, PNC Bank regional president for Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.  "PNC reaffirms our commitment as Premier Partner of the Real Estate Center because we believe our business community should be actively engaged in helping the education system succeed as we work together to attract and retain excellent talent for our future workforce, which is critical to the economic vitality of our region."

Through the support of PNC, the UC Real Estate Center will advance its industry offerings through its Real Estate Roundtable series, a breakfast lecture series for professionals and students in the real estate industry, and the annual Real Estate Banquet, which draws more than 600 professionals from the region.

“The team at the Real Estate Center prides itself in the ability to provide meaningful opportunities for students, industry practitioners and leaders to connect,” said Center Director Shaun Bond. “We are very appreciative of PNC’s partnership and look forward to advancing the industry together for years to come.”

PNC continues to play a vital role in advancing the University of Cincinnati, the Lindner College of Business, the real estate industry, and our community as a whole. Earlier this year, PNC was awarded the Business Partnership Award at the 28th Annual Cincinnati Business Achievement Awards. The relationship with the UC Real Estate Center builds upon its partnerships with the Goering Center for Family & Private Business, the Economics Center and UC athletics. These long-standing partnerships shape our academic programs and provide a variety of students with the foundational tools they need to achieve their personal and professional goals.
