First-of-its-kind survey by the Goering Center focuses on region's business future.

The February 21 edition of Soapbox Cincinnati features an article about a first-of-its-kind small business survey conducted by the Goering Center for Family & Private Business at UC’s Carl H. Linder College of Business.

“For a long time, I thought it would be interesting to do a study on the family businesses in the area,” says Sid Barton, Goering Center faculty executive and associate professor of management at the Lindner College of Business. “You can get national surveys and indications of large companies, but there wasn’t anything focused on local businesses.”

The survey used a more focused approach, specifically targeting 900 businesses in the Cincinnati area, to predict the future of business’ in the region.
