The University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business and the Center for Entrepreneurship Education & Research host the 2013 Entrepreneurship Recognition Banquet at 5:30PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center on the UC Campus.
Professor Charles H. Matthews, the Center’s executive director, will serve as emcee for the 15th annual event. Established in 1999, the annual awards event honors community achievement in entrepreneurship and Lindner academic excellence in students who will begin their entrepreneurial journey throughout Greater Cincinnati and beyond.
The 2013 program will present awards in five categories: Lifetime Achievement, Entrepreneurial Excellence, Distinguished Service, Faculty and Student Entrepreneurs. Several student achievements and scholarships in entrepreneurship will also be awarded, including recognition of the student entrepreneurs participating in the Spirit of Enterprise Graduate Business Plan Competition and Small Business Institute® Case of the Year Competition.
“This is an exciting event for both successful entrepreneurs and students just beginning the entrepreneurial journey,” Matthews says. “It is an honor to be able to recognize such outstanding achievements.”
To celebrate the 15th Anniversary, the UC Center for Entrepreneurship Education & Research is partnering with Dhani Jones’ BowTie Cause with proceeds benefiting UC entrepreneurship student scholarships.
