Four graduate students from the Lindner College of Business earned the R. Michael Pack Innovative Technology Award at the 23rd Annual Venture Challenge hosted by San Diego University March 16-17, 2012.
Pooja Kadambi, BME ’11 MSE ’12, Ron Meyers, MBA ’10, MS ACCT ‘12, Joe Lovelace CEAS ’11, Aaron Kurosu DAAP ’11, earned the award for innovative technology with the greatest societal impact.
The students pitched a business plan for Ischiban Neural Engineering Systems, a neural based system for electrical technology applications in the medical (stroke detection), military, commercial and entertainment industries. Their product is an innovative stroke detection headband designed to save lives.
The team will now compete April 5-7, 2012, at the University of Oregon New Venture Challenge.
