A January 19, 2011 article in the Findlay Courier features James Kellaris, marketing professor at the UC College of Business, and his research on "earworms" or songs that get stuck in a person's head. Kellaris explains that "music that is simple, repetitious, and contains some odd incongruity is more prone to get stuck." According to his research, women are more prone to experiencing earworms than men, and musicians tend to be more susceptible due to repeated exposure to music during rehearsals.
