Sale accepted the title of Senior Fellow in a
ceremony held at JKU on October 20, 2010.
The third individual to be named a Senior Fellow in JKU's history, Sale was recognized for his many years of cooperation with the university, in particular, his work with the Center for Business Languages and Intercultural Communications and the Institute of Financial Accounting and Auditing.

"I am honored to be recognized as a Senior Fellow," said Sale. "I have worked with the faculty at JKU for many years and their insights have enhanced my own work as much as I have contributed to theirs." Sale is internationally active in both teaching and scholarship and has published articles in many leading American and European accounting journals, as well as serving as the editor of Advances in Accounting: Incorporating Advances in International Accounting.

"This is a great recognition not only for Dr. Sale, but for our college," said David M. Szymanski, dean of the UC College of Business. "It is thanks to the efforts of our faculty and staff to develop lasting partnerships around the globe that we are able to offer a strong international education?a must in an increasingly interconnected world?to all of our students."

In addition to Austria, the UC College of Business has partner schools in France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Chile, Mexico, Canada, China and Thailand. This broad network of partnerships allows the College of Business to provide international opportunities to both undergraduate and graduate students, ranging from weeklong trips to semester-long study abroad programs.
