  • QA professor David Kelton will be a featured speaker at ArenaSphere 2010.

David Kelton, professor of quantitative analysis (QA) and Master of Science in Quantitative Analysis program director at the University of Cincinnati College of Business, is one of three keynote speakers at the 2010 ArenaSphere Conference to be held May 17-20 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Focusing on Arena, a leading simulation modeling software, the conference provides simulation professionals with insightful keynote presentations, advanced training, case studies and networking opportunities. Kelton's keynote speech will address the importance of statistical design and analysis.

Kelton has extensive experience working with Arena simulation software. He is co-author of Simulation with Arena, McGraw-Hill's "Most Successful New Title" in 1998. The book has sold over 87,000 copies worldwide (including editions in Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Spanish) and has been referenced in over 170 refereed journal articles since 1998.

Arena is also one of many software packages that Kelton uses regularly in his research. His interests are in the probabilistic and statistical aspects of simulation, applications of simulation, statistical quality control and stochastic models. His papers have appeared in publications such as Operations Research, Management Science, the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Journal on Computing and the Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation.

A Fellow of both INFORMS and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), Kelton has received multiple awards from both organizations and has held editorial positions with numerous academic journals.
